Hallo aus Deutschland!!

Hello from Germany! We've arrived in Frankfurt, the first leg of our journey over the Alps to Venice.  We've never been to a German airport before. This airport is interesting in that after we landed we seem to have had to cross lanes that ferry both cars and planes respectively. It was kind of odd. Another interesting tidbit is that the the man at customs said he knew both a Pankratz and a Ball! How's that for a fun coincidence. . . or they are more common names than back home.

Anyway, the flight was great. It was Libby and I on our own in our row. It was pretty nice. We watched a few movies, and some Planet Earth 2. I think Lufthansa might be our favorite carrier (though I think BA comes in a fairly close second). I enjoyed the food, we didn't have to pay extra for anything, and we got a hot towel before our meals.

Not a whole lot else happened, so I will leave you with the view I currently am graced with as I write this. Have a great rest of the week friends and family. Our next post will be from Venice, Italy.
